National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
During their tenure with The JBG Companies, Network principals secured a major lease procurement with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Working side by side with the government agency and integrating them into every step of the development process, Network principals developed a thorough understanding of the agency’s goals and delivered an appropriate facility, with LEED Gold Certification, in a low-bid competition. The resulting headquarters was designed to maximize the tenant’s flexibility to help manage the needs of their growing and dynamic organization. The project team adeptly managed the addition of $61 million in user modifications, yet still delivered the facility a month early and two percent below budget. The project was innovatively financed by Raymond James using Taxable Lease Revenue Bonds rated by Standard & Poors.
